1. Referral service only

HandyMatch is a referral service, not a contractor. We do not perform, supervise or control any home-service work. We pass your request to an independent pro; any agreement for work is directly between you and that pro.

Pros are independent businesses, not employees, agents or partners of HandyMatch. Each pro is solely responsible for their work, pricing, permits, licensing, insurance, warranties and conduct.

When a pro joins, we check their Texas license where the trade requires one — plumbing with the TSBPE, electrical and HVAC with the TDLR, and pest control with the TDA — and request proof of insurance where it applies. This is a point-in-time check, not a guarantee. You may verify any license yourself on those agencies' websites.

HandyMatch makes no warranty about any pro's work, availability, response time or price. Price ranges on our site are estimates from published sources, not quotes. The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandyMatch is not liable for any damage, loss or dispute arising from work performed by a pro.

HandyMatch is free for homeowners. Pros pay a 10% referral fee on jobs referred by HandyMatch that they complete and get paid for, under the terms in the pro sign-up agreement.

Only customers who booked a job through HandyMatch may leave a review, using the link we send after the job. We publish a review only with the customer's consent, and show only a first name and last initial or "Verified customer". Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. We do not pay for reviews, offer anything in exchange for a review, or write, buy or post fake reviews, and pros may not do so either, consistent with the Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews (16 CFR Part 465). We don't remove reviews just because they are negative, but we may remove reviews that are abusive, threatening, discriminatory, off-topic, contain personal information, or that we cannot verify.

We may update these terms at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. In case of any difference between the English and Spanish versions, the English version controls.
